Equine Beastie

This is one of my equine based species, the Equrnishoen (ee-cure-ah-show-in) by the way this one is male.
Type: Mainly herbivore but they are known to go carnivorous when food supply is low.
Personality: Usually calm and passive the Equrnishoen can also be very competitive under certain conditions.
Appearance: Equrnishoen have craned equine like necks with very long ears. They are known to have very long silky tails, with a bone running through the tail to about 3/4 of the full lenth. The males have hook like claws extending from the tops of their front paws. Females have double tails, with a small point at the very tip. Both genders have longer back legs than front and their bodies are not all that long.
Markings: Equrnishoen ussually are decorated by stripes and swirls. Males have a spiral like pattern somewhere on their bodies. Females have more of a crosshatch pattern.
Color: Range from gold to scarlet reds, blacks and albinos exist but are very rare.
Enviornment: Equrnishoen are found in lush grasslands, and their subspecies are found in artic type climates.
